ok, here's a question. how many would shoot this buck because they saw this and fill their tag for the season.or...would you let it go, saving your tag for the trophy we all hunt for each year.
I ran into a similar situation about three years ago.

Depends on what kind of condition the deer is in... If he appears to be healthy and it doesn't seem to be effecting him he is going to get a pass, but if I can tell there is the slightest thing wrong with him I think I would probably take him so he doesn't suffer any longer.

No different than a gimped buck from a car, coyote, or getting stuck in the fence really. It sucks for the deer and makes me sound cruel but I wouldn't burn my tag.
