Red were starting to drop in Northern Illinois. The size doesn't look huge and it looks to be about an average year quantity wise. This is just the few trees I checked. I'll be curious to see what we are looking at in Central Illinois this weekend. When we have a good crop down there, it changes things up for the first month of the season.

Light crop of small nuts here in the northern part of SW MI. Hopefully some bigger ones like BH posted will show up.

Found some sawtooths at the NWR this weekend. The camp down south there are a few acorns. Not near what there has been in the past.
I'm reason they call it hunting and not shooting.

Saw a lot burr oak acorns on the ground today, been hearing red oaks are falling too in my part of the state.
