The older assault came with a v-bracket instead of a batwing.
It has a smaller tube.
It has a bolt and nut for adjusting the angle.
It has a narrower v on the stand where it meets the tree.

I will post some pics tonite.

that would be great, thnx. Id like to order one this wk and theres one on ebay i think may be the lighter style but im not sure. Im not even sure what a batwing vs. v-bracket difference is. Thnx again

I've seen quite a few on Craigslist really cheap. It might be worth keeping an eye on.
