I will be finding out shortly. Strapping snowshoes to my pack just in case. I like the snowshoes for going cross country in large areas of marsh grass.

man I'm glad I'm wearing waddersrs I just broke through a weak spot in the ice .i couldn't feel the bottom sync up to my waist :shock:

honestly dewey where I am there's only tops maybe 10 inches of snow yes there are some drits but it's manageable I'm not complaining

Do you guys that have the winter snow and ice ever worry about being off alone scouting? Like what if you went through the ice and it was much deeper than you thought, not only could you drown but if your miles from the truck, hypothermia. My family worries about me hunting/being alone on public land and we don't even get snow. Just curious.

I always tell someone where I am with GPS coordinates and check back frequently. If something does happen I am confident help could be to me fairly quickly.
