Ever feel like your KooKoo?

Unread postby Czabs » Thu Aug 29, 2013 3:37 pm

It doesnt matter what I do or where, hunting or something hunting related will be on my mind. I honestly sometimes think im crazy. I dont think there was a day I was on my vacation in AZ this last week I wasnt thinking of whitetails or while driving places trying to spot mulies or elk, or something. Ill be in the middle of a movie with my girlfriend and be thinking of spots and strategies to hang my trail cams. I dont realize it at the time, unless someone shakes there head at me and laughs saying "god. Is that all you think about?" These last couple weeks before season will be rough. Been dreaming and thinkin big bucks and unraveling new strategies and things to do and try every night. Literally cant even sleep. I feel like a crack head going through withdrawals. I guess I would just like to thank each and every one of you on The Beast for supporting my addiction. Goodnight.

I know what you are saying. All I think about before and during the season is being perched up on my stand. Beast mode!

Every tree I walk or drive by I analzye how I would hang a set in it. Sometimes I talk out loud about it even when in town. I can't help it and am sure others dod the same. To me that's normal.

Have a couple kids if you want to take it down a notch or two...
Or have a couple dozen people report to you @ work that might dull the situation a bit (- same as babysitting by the way)

I am sure i have the same disorder. Part of my job is I inspect railroad bridges and when i go riding down the tracks we often see a lot of deer and it makes me want to hunt really bad. A few times i have made my boss crack up laughing as he watched me sizing up a big set of tracks under bridges or just some of the things i say when we see a nice buck. He and everyone else knows im a hunting freak.

Yes, my wife thinks I have a problem. I think it's just the norm for a bowhunter to pick a spot when they see an animal. Who cares that it's your dog, cat, or zoo animals!!! If your not thinking hunting 24/7 then your just half butting it.
