What is this ?
This deer was shot last year about 5 miles from where I live..... I was told the person that shot it, sent a text picture of it to the DNR, and they immediately told the hunter not to touch it, and they will be right there..... they came to his land, dug a whole and burried it on the spot....
I never did hear what disease or what it had, but I have never seen anything like it........ have any of you ?????

Re: What is this ?
Should have taken it to taxidermist and requested a full body mount

Those are those fibromas things. I guess some deer get them but those look pretty nasty.

Re: What is this ?
Sure looks nasty, but if those are warts, I don't think it affects the meat quality or even affects the deer a whole lot. That being said I don't think I could eat something that looked like that. I'd probably do the same thing the DNR did and bury it.

I've never seen anything like that! By the looks of his rack, he was a fighter too.

You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.
