For starters they have absolutely no idea what the harvest numbers are.

Missouri has an exact count by county.

MDC does a 100% better job as an agency than KDWP&T.

Changed it a little.........no your not alone.

Yeah, I agree with you on that for sure. How can you manage a deer population without accurate population models...All about the money.

You cannot.
When in 2011 EHD killed a lot of deer in my area they kept the doe limit at 5.....when I asked the local warden about that he said the biologists don't listen to the folks with boots on the ground.

Wow that's really disturbing. They really don't understand what they could have if they would just manage and take care of their resource.

I talked with an MDC official last night and they are estimating the EHD kill well over 100,000 deer for Missouri. He showed me their statistical model and everything. Pretty interesting info.

What year was that?
Not this year, I hope.

No not this year thank goodness. He was referring to last year's damage and how there will be pockets of reduced deer numbers throughout Missouri for the 2013 season.

Yeah, I believe his land is in Stafford county Kansas. It's pretty close to that big outfitter they hunted a lot with. Giant buck

Not to ruin the hate parade but I kill my big deer in KS on my own ground, and I lodge and eat with Tom. Just like Lee, Tiff and the Drurys your odds go up when the ground or lease you hunt is yours. I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity. As for as Tom goes.. Tom runs a top notch operation and is a great whitetail hunter. I would book a hunt for any of my family or friends to hunt with him.
My two cents,
Michael Waddell

Like I said its a great deer and I said I was unsure whether or not he scouts and does his own sets. Good for him. I not sure where that quote from him came from but if true good for him again. It's obvious he has done well for himself and provided great opportunities for himself on property he can now own, I can't knock him for that.

Great buck! I think advertising in the industry has change my perspective on some of the hunting shows.
