Re: 2013 moon days
I thought that was odd as well. Will there be any info on the new DVD about moon phases?

Thanks for the info Dan!
Do you also take dark moon phase into your hunting or just OH and UF times?

Re: 2013 moon days
I do love those moon days!!!!
The moon days with good morning and evening hunts happen every year or almost every year, it has to do with the shortened daylight and trasit of the moon lining up just right.

All times and dates were gathered useing info from this free site:

This would also be a great site for coming up with good shining times, or glassing times rather than wasting time and gas on non productive days.
I was just checking out the site and noticed that Windhoek is in Nabia on the South end of Africa. I was wondering how that might affect the times so I pulled up an old page (http://www.cellstop.com.na/weather/wind ... -2012.html) and compared it to my 2012 moon chart. Just for reference it looks like their times are around a half hour early. FYI for those detailed moon freaks!

I have used the moon guide for several years now and do not recall it ever being that the majority of the best days were both morning and evening. It is late now, but I'm gonna twist a few dials tomorrow and see if I have a bad memory or not.

Maybe I worded that wrong, the majority of the days don't have prime moon times morning and evening, it seems like there are just a handful of days every year that line up. I think most years have these days but maybe not every year.
