What is your average shot distance for your bucks?

I am curious what everyone usually gets for shots. It seems like I am always around that 25-33 range where I am slightly out of position but still manage to seal the deal on a few. I want to get where 20-25 is the norm. This doesn't have to be kills, just the opportunity with a shot fired, count misses, hits, and kills. Also, if you don't know the exact yardage just guess as best you can.

90% of bow kills are about 7 yards. With gun average is about 25.

I like to kill them at 20 yrds on avg.......... most kills for me have been 20- 30 yrds

The majority of my kills have been in the 15 - 20 yard range. My biggest buck was at about 15 yards. I shot one buck on the edge of a corn field at 35 yards which was the furthest kill shot I have made...

For me using my climber and moving often has always afforded me the element of surprise and closer shots... but then again last year I had a set-up that was too close for comfort and I could not get a shot on a nice 10 point because he was right no top of me.. then spooked and went into the thicket..

I try to keep it around 20 yds for a "chipshot". Best was the 3 yd buck which was my first archery deer.

Since I like to get them close my average is slightly less than 10 yards with the bow and less than 30 with the gun.

I rarely shoot my bow over 20 yards at any deer even though I am plenty accurate at much further distances target shooting. Probably prevented me from killing plenty of good bucks but I feel better in the end not wounding a deer by only taking high percentage shots.

Nothing bothers me more than a guy that says he is deadly at 50 yards and then proceeds to wound 3-4 deer in a season!
