Re: face masks??????
i never wear one because i think they are uncomfortable, i just use tru carbon powder as face paint.....if i had to use a face mask, it would be that tight fit under armour cold gear one because it would dry up the moisture somewhat from my breath, and wouldn't catch on anything

Re: face masks??????
I either use nothing or a skin tight under armour type face mask. Keep my glasses from fogging up.

Re: face masks??????
I don't use a face mask while hunting deer. I really don't think it makes a difference as long as you can hunt from a tree with cover and background and keep your movements slow and to a minimum.

Re: face masks??????
I cant stand wearing a facemask. Once in awhile, I will throw a little paint on my face, but I dont always think about it so I just go with nothing..
I like the carbon powder idea RBW! Does that stuff wash off easily after the hunt?

Re: face masks??????
I only wear a face mask once the temps get into single digits, early season I try and grow my own facemask but have been known to wear a little face paint every now and then.

Thermacell, spray.
Early season I always spray down with repel 40% deet for chiggers/ticks.
I use an underarmour mask if its cold.
None if its warm unless in a ground blind, then a black UA mask, black shirt, and black gloves.

Re: face masks??????
I'm a facepaint guy. I used to wear a facemask, but I found it would sometimes affect my anchor so I only use it to turkey hunt.

Re: face masks??????
I wear a skin tight facemask...Don't like the bulky ones and don't like washing face paint off either. Always amazed at these clowns on TV that do neither?? They are obviously hunting unpressured deer that don't look up

They aren't easy to find, but I wear a Spandoflauge Mask.....not too tight and doesn't fog up the glasses.

Re: face masks??????
I like the feel of hunting without one but when I see myself through my camera lens my face is a big white ball. I don't know how a deer couldn't see that... .
I've used facepaint and its a pain in the rear end to get that stuff off but like Pat said the tru carbon smeared on your face is good. Fairly easy to wash off, almost always miss getting the backside of my ears and having someone notice though .
I wear a facemask with a draw string, It just feels like I'm more hidden, maybe not I don't know. I can't wear the skin tight ones because I can't feel my kisser button and if I pull down the facemask it squishes me cheeks together like a chipmunk, and it feels funny. Scentlok drawstring facemask I have and I like it so far. I'm not really concerned about the scentlok part of it but more so the drawstring i can pull it down without my cheeks squishing.
