Donny Vincent - The River's Divide

Unread postby Knute78 » Sun Jun 16, 2013 1:39 am

If you get a chance to watch this in its entrity at a viewing or simply view the trailer, it is great. I was able to watch it in its entirity through a friend and was blown away. The full version is about 45 minutes. I cannot wait for it to come out on DVD. The videography and additional musical scores are in a class of their own. This is an amazing film about the pursuit of an animal and the lengths to which an individual goes to for a successful harvest. Many of us can relate to the passion he put into his pursuits. I feel its well produced. It is definitely a different type of hunting video (I'd call it a documentary) for the hunting video industry but definitely a breath of fresh air.

It looks like he has or is producing a few different hunts, but no release dates are offered on the site.

Definitely worth the time to watch if you get the opportunity to view the whole production or just the trailer.

Great stuff! Any idea if it will be available on DVD? Couldn't find that info listed anywhere.

Don't quote me here...but I think he is probably working on editing the remaining hunts and then will get the DVD out. I know The River's Divide is still being shown select theaters out west on the weekends. I would expect a DVD sometime after that tour wraps up.

The DVD is now for sale on his website. Its not a DVD that will help with tactics etc... but it is well filmed and not just your typical hunting movie. Highly recommended.

If you want to kill a deer you have to be in the woods.

What did you like about it? Is it the kind of film that keeps you on the edge of your seat? Or is it a more slow interesting film?

Slow interesting. Knute78 really hit it on the head with his first post. Anyone who has chased a single mature buck for seasons can relate to the narrative. It isn't a highlight reel of kill shots. Its a journey for single mature buck.

I'm going to watch it one more time and send it on a road show. Just texted Bucky and Czabs. Can definitely send it in your direction too.

Don't worry about the money. PM me your address and I'll throw it in the case so Bucky or Czabs can mail it to you.
