On a side note, When I did hunt Wisconsin gun season it was back in 2008. I received permission to hunt a 50 acre chunk of land in Waushara county. If I would have been the hunter I am now I would have had more luck. Deer sign was everywhere but didn't have time to scout that much. I wanted to hunt Devil's Lake SP back in 2010 because my uncle has a condo next to Devils head mountain but was scared away by people saying there were no deer left in that area from all the tags issued because of CWD. Plus there were hunters on every tree I was told. I'd love to get back to Wisconsin if I ever lose my spot to hunt in Illinois. Reasonably priced non-resident tags and a friendly deer hunting community.
