I prefer lithium bit generally run alkalines I purchased on sale.

Depends on the camera, battery type, and use.

I find the best value is the Utilitech AA batteries for my use. I get thousands upon thousands of pics in my Covert cams with them. Rarely are lithiums more cost effective in my situation, and they are relegated to special duty for hardcore winter months.

Since I got a couple of Covert trail cameras, their battery life is astounding. I put out a MP6 last August and it is still on the original set of 6 AA batteries. The cam has taken over 20,000 pics on this set of batteries.

That said, I will continue to buy regular Duracell copper tops.
