Admiral 04 asked if 2012 was the only year you could enter. The answer is no. Any year is is acceptable.

Can we use kill shots rather than mounts? All my best mounts are at Trudell taxidermy studio.

I think we need to stick with pictures of mounts. The original intent was to use pictures of mounts to create the atmosphere of a real deer classic. It's kind of like bringing your head to the Beast site for display.

I broke the ice and posted up first. This is an example of how to post up your entry. Any size buck is welcomed for display.

Re: Discussion thread for the First Annual Beast Classic.
I got one coming later I would like to post. I have a very old rack that my family has held onto for a long time I want to show. I have to tend to some things today first. Lately, I was thinking too, it would be cool if this site had it's own "deer classic" at a convention center or community center sometime in the future.

That rack I was talking about isn't scored. Its a large rack. Does there have to be a score in order to put it into the contest?

A score is a great way to see how big a rack is. Just a visual doesn't always display the real size of a rack. People like to have a gauge so to speak. That is why the score is a requirement to be eligible for a virtual trophy. You could post up the picture but it won't be considered an entry with out a score. It is very easy to score yourself. The B&C web site gives great instructions and a form to do it. I would love to see your rack with a score, I think many others would also.

Re: Discussion thread for the First Annual Beast Classic.
I would like to nominate this whitetail....
Firearm
early doe season
Smoked on an Evening hunt
From treestand
Scored 7.5 by a panel of hungry judges
Bacon with brown sugar mix on the back, and side rack o ribs
Tenderloins were extra tender....
(Just for fun)
