anybody try to put any mock scrapes out this time of year? I have a new tree picked out to hang a stand this year, & thought about putting in a mock scrape just to get all the bucks attention that move through the area this spring& summer. Hoping maybe next fall they will remember it's there, & come take a look. is this a crazy idea? Will they just ignore it?

No it's not a crazy idea. I do this sometimes also. I make mock scrapes this time of year and let the deer take them over. I don't add any scent, just open them up. If they are in a decent spot they will be maintained by the deer. I have killed bucks over them but more than anything it just gives a little extra incentive to come through that specific area and possibly spend a few more minutes in your area or property before leaving onto the neighbors.
I open them now and let nature take its course and avoid the area until I hunt.
