Re: dead found bucks
Trdtnlbwhntr found two dead recently. Somebody sawed off both sets above the bases. I will post a picture later but the one had beer can bases... Oh, they locked up as far as we can tell. Laying facing each other and both hides intact albeit a bit stinky

Re: dead found bucks
I found the buck in my avatar friday. Could have been the one I gut shot in october :(. but it would have had to make some crazy turns and come another mile from where I shot. Pretty nice 8, especially for my area.

A walk in the snowy cattails is always a good day.

This is a giant found last spring in a swamp behind the Walmart in New London, WI. One of my customers claimed he knew a young kid that wounded a monster back there the year prior. Very interesting story, friggin' giant

Re: dead found bucks
When I was in High School a buddy and I found a dead one near the railroad track that got hit by the train. We both found it so we each took a side. My half scored almost 65 inches. A metro buck right in the skyline of downtown Minneapolis.

Re: dead found bucks
This one was hit by a car in Alcona County (NE lower peninsula). My friend Dan and his son Patrick the Killer got out to check on the people that hit it and ended up with the deer. The rack hangs in the Lincoln Outdoor Center in Lincoln
I found this one in about 2001. During MZ season on a property I used to hunt. I believe it was laying there for a year before I found it because I never cleaned just found it like this.
Had it scored at a show in Birch run a few years later, went 161 and change gross, I think 149 net.
Pretty sure this guy found this one dead right after he shot it. Just like showing this one, another MI dink. It is referred to as the South Lyon Buck

Only one I found is a spike this year, was picked pretty clean when I found it. What's the best way to clean it up the rest if the way?

Here is a few thoughts 1)bury it when the frost comes out of the ground and by Oct or Nov should be pretty clean if you arent in a hurry, Or 2) you could take it to the quarter wash and blast it, then boil it, Or 3)spend the money and have it beetled.
