Bummer.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

thats a heck of a way to go...

just shows deer dont pay a dang bit of attention to machinery... not cars, tractors, 4 wheelers or anything IMO.

For the first time in my life I can actually say someone "harvested" a buck. :lol:

That would not be first choice of how I would want to go, or my 1,000th.............If the ears weren't relaxed I would say it almost looks like its still alive.

What is very interesting is that buck, which appears to be pretty mature, stayed bedded (he certainly wasn't just going for a stroll and ran into the combine but first) in that field with the combine working that field up until the point it killed him. He could have slipped away 15 seconds earlier - like I bet happens countless times - and no one would have known he was around.

Combines move pretty slow relative to a deer, he must have been just jumping up and got caught.
