Got a buck with bow on private, and hunted private 80% public 20%.

1 out of 4 bucks on public. That one was WI gun season. Overall my hunting last year was maybe 40% public 60% private.

I had to vote no as well.

Second year in a row on public on opening day of MI firearms and was within 50 yds of a buck and couldn't get the shot off (too thick).

For the second year in a row, took three does.

I spent about 40% of my time on public

I do all my hunting in National Forest. Killed one buck this yr with bow..so far..got till the 20th Jan.

Killed my bow buck on public. 140 inch ten with stickers. Opening day, WI....

Good luck. There are huge deer in Kenosha county. The problem is trying to get onto property to hunt them.

I killed one buck and wounded one buck with the bow on public this season. Also took two does with the bow on public. Would have been my best season if I didn't wound the one.

Shot a buck with a bow on public and missed a dandy with my gun on public. I don't think I hunted private once this year, which is a first for me.

Passed a 130" 9 point first the first night I sat some public, never saw another decent buck

Killed 3 bucks on private, choked on one public buck, have to Jan 31st to get 2 more bucks. Spent equal amount of time on both, prefer the challenge of public.

100% public for years here. Got my buck w/ shotgun. 147 6/8. Passed numerous dinks bowhunting.

I have a buddy that shot a slob with a 27" spread a couple miles from the state line. I believe Lake county, IL is also near the top in trophy bucks in IL.
