Dan, glad you got the recognition. Its long overdue. My only fear is that those who are less than serious hunters will start taking up a half-azzed approach to our style of hunting and, in turn, completely screw up the deer woods.

If you want to kill a deer you have to be in the woods.

Everyone who is a serious hunter around my home town has bought my DVD's... I see some increase in the use of the tactics in the DVD's, but not enough to make a huge difference. Most guys won't put in the effort.

On that note Dan, I let one of the guys who took me out hunting a few times this year borrow one of the DVD’s of yours I had purchased. I was really hoping he would watch it and say damn, that is what I want to try. Unfortunately that was not the response I got back. He felt some of the information was good but I can tell by his real lack of response that he will continue to hunt the way he has known. His overarching response was the different locations in the states that you and I (and him) are in. Different states, different tactics.

I have hunted in 9 different states... The tactics in that DVD work every where... But, there not for everyone. Most people would never do the work involved and would rather just hunt permanent stands like they see done on TV.

Dan,

I do not doubt you in the least. I was hoping that since he is younger than I that he would be willing to try out this style of hunting (even though I never have I must say). I think though he learned to hunt from his father and knows his way of hunting. Hopefully even though I am new to this next year I can prod him some more and see if it works. Stranger things happened.

James
