My first dead buck this year found on public land

A few days ago I came across this dead buck, I hadn't even began scouting yet which is sad if it was shot because although he was in his bed, it's just off a major logging road that I know gets pounded during the WI. gun season. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXcwWupI54U

Such is life living out in the wild I guess, I figure that buck was 2 1/2 years of age, another year or so, he would've been a giant, he had a good bedding spot, everyone usually comes in from in front of him, I wonder if the bed itself will get taken over by another buck?
