With the winter storm hitting here...I want to go out to tomorow to look for tracks and beds. Like I have said before the area on our land where I will be is done for hunting the rest of the year. Also I will be looking for a specific track that has a chipped hoof on the right foot. I believe he was a 3 year old last year when I first found the track and will be 4 right now. I would be so pumped to find that track.
What are some tactics you guys use for scouting in the snow? Like I said i will not be hunting this area or any of my family.

Re: Snow Scouting
I like to follow big fresh tracks and see how they travel the land and enter / exit bedding areas, as well as escape me tracking and compare it to the wind direction. Its also nice to see what natural foods they are feeding on currently.
