Going smokepoling!

Unread postby Brad » Mon Dec 10, 2012 3:18 am

I am going smokepoling since it snowed, always wanted to kill a deer with my muzzleloader during a fresh snow and I have never done it before, so today is the day. I am only in need of a doe for meat and its a doe only season today so its perfect. I will not shoot if I can't get her on film. Details in a few hours!

Good luck.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Its a CVA Optima magnum in 50 caliber. I have killed a pile of critters with it even out past 200 yards. I have had nothing but great luck with CVA over the years.

I've been sitting for a few hours and nothings moving, I'm gonna go walk through a spot and try and either stalk up on one or jump one up and shoot it, course if I do that I can't film it. I'm gonna leave the camera and arm up in the shooting house and go walk in another spot and if I don't get one come back to this spot later this afternoon.
