Wind Currents on Hills
If you have a multi-benched, wooded slope, how does it travel if facing windward (as opposed to a leward facing slope that has the "thermal tunnel")? Does it venturi up the hill fast but create eddy-currents when it passes each bench as it goes up?

Your likely to get a lot of swirling winds in a situation like this.

Depends entirely on the wind speed as well. A calmer night will be more determined by the sun position and thermals

Re: Wind Currents on Hills
That really depends on the wind velocity and the angle of attack. You could end up with a vortex pulling scent away from the hill at the bottom but most likely you will end up with a fustercluck of unpredictable wind currents.

Ya I think I'll stick to only hunting leeward sides of hill and not chancing or wasting my time trying to hunt deer that may be bedded on a windward slope.
And PalmettoKid I like your use of "fustercluck"!
