Jakes 1st Deer Hunt

Unread postby Edcyclopedia » Mon Nov 19, 2012 10:50 am

Took my little guy to camp for an evening sit and some time with the guys.
(It was really for Momma to get some time for herself before leaving for a 9-day MO archery hunt ;) )

Needless to say I grabbed his little 4X4 so Jake could get a late season ride in b4 the snow flies...
He tore it up for a few hours prior to our hunt!

Our setup was in an over grown apple orchid known as Partridge Ridge.

A little time to occupy so we brought his DS... For the record, he only plays it a maximum of 20-min per day patroled by Mom & Dad :shhh:

All camo'd out, Jake says the head mask fits him better anyways so I should just give it to him

Video of one of 3-Doe's that came into our set (6-yards). Soon aftewards Jake asks when are the bucks coming out - NOW THATS PRESSURE!

Sitting by the camp fire with the Guys! We all asked him the next morning what his favorite part of the weekend was and of course I expected seeing the deer.
HOWEVER, Jake says it was just hanging out with the guys. You know Dad - the camp fire, breakfast... Just hanging out with the guys!

Good times.......good times.

Once they get older you can never have that time back. Cherish every darn minute.

Very cool hunt.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Looks like a good time!!
If you want to kill a deer you have to be in the woods.

I remember those days. Wouldnt take anything for all those memories. Enjoy eevery minute you can. They grow up way too fast.

Great pics and time there. Wont be long he'll have first kill blood on the cheeks, and dad will be dragging!!

Good job
