Who plans on hunting with bow during WI gun season?

I thought about doing this but since I bought a new deer rifle a few years back thought I better use that instead at least for opening weekend.

Thinking back over the years many of the deer I killed with rifle were well within bow range. I tend to hunt some pretty thick areas where long shots are 50 yards.

For the regular 9 day season Im using my .270...my stand offers up to 200 yards shots.

Can you use a bow during muzzleloader season in Wisconsin? That would be fun if you could.

My 2nd biggest buck with a gun was killed in 2006....I was sitting on the ground at 15 yards. Hot doe came in and I chose him out of 5 other bucks following her. Had 3 bucks within 30 yards.

Rifle for opening weekend, then switch to shotgun when hunting closer to home. Most of my shots are in bow range too.

I'm thinking about it. Not on public though I'm going to stay away from that warzone lol

I am thinking about hitting a bow only public spot later in the week after all the guns drive the deer into it.

I will be carrying my bow. I know of two public spots near me where I "think" I will be in the game, even with the bow.

I'll be up in Jackson County for opening weekend. Then back down around Milwaukee for some urban deer where you can't discharge a firearm. So I will be carrying the bow then.
