Where's Everyone Going for GDS ?

Gun deer season...I know some shun the gun season and only bowhunt. But for the rest who are excited for it, like I am...what are your plans? Traveling, hunting near home?

I'm heading to Sauk County for the weekend with a few friends. Staying in a 17 foot camper. '

I'll be driving over to WI and hunting some public land. I'm bringing a friend out and to my knowledge he hasn't killed a deer yet this year, so I'm really hoping to get him on one.

Northern WI the entire 9 days in our 8 man deer camp. Same thing I've been doing since 1989. National forest public land..

Heading out to the hill country out west with my brothers/uncles and friends! Im jacked up! Its like opening bow season all over again! Its a tradition for me as i live for the memories like this with my hunting partners.

Heading 6 hours from home to hunt a prime track of land I took my biggest buck off of 4 years ago. It's a HUGE piece of land that doesn't allow hunting, maybe a couple peple every few years. Weather looks pretty good and I'm really excited. They've been seeing some giants out there despise the drought that went on in Illinois.

Northeast WI opening weekend, then hunting around home in the Southeast during the week, then over to west central WI on Thanksgiving night through the weekend. Then back around home for muzzleloader. Good times

I was going to skip gun hunting this year but now found out a few more of the guys are going up. I have decided to change my mind and hunt with them so I will be heading up to Vilas County Friday morning. Don't know how much I will hunt or maybe I will just be the camp cook!

Going up to have fun a don't really care if I kill a deer or not.

For me gun season is about hanging out with buddies and hopefully getting my daughter a chance at a deer. We do spend alot of time on the stand. The second weekend of gun I will be hitting the marsh.
