Re: Becoming a Student not a Teacher
Definitely a great post and the reason that many of us relate so well to one another regardless of our ages or other differences. We all share deer hunting as a passion and we all are anxious to help one another. There are some truly great whitetail hunters here who are very gracious.

Re: Becoming a Student not a Teacher
Great post BHBH!! I have killed many deer and some good bucks on public. However, when that 140 inch buck strolled into range on opening day this season as I was hunting in my LW beast style, well that's just a feeling I can't describe!! When I saw my arrow pass thru him, my eyes filled with tears and the adrenalin was overwhelming!! I love whitetails and I love this site!!

You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Awesome post, this one of the biggest things that I think hold people back in their lives across the board. Thinking we know more than we do Keeps us from learning. Recognizing that is a big step. Very good post

The Beast forum is instantly humbling. If it isn't, one needs to get into the hunter bios and best tactics threads.

I never want to stop learning and make sure I soak everything in I read here wether I agree with it or not. Keeping an open mind and trying new things can really help you grow as a hunter. I have learned more from everyone here at at the Beast and previously at BBO than I learned in the previous 20 years combined!

Good post BHBH!

x2 ... The majority of us are students most of the time. I have learned to sit back and learn from others on a thread, and only contribute when I have pertinent facts/observations, rather than throwing out my opinion.
Great topic.
