How big is he ?

Unread postby dreaming bucks » Sun Oct 21, 2012 11:52 am

I got this guy at my waterhole on my last cam check ? I normally don't like to put cam's on waterholes, but I figure if I am putting my scent in there filling up the tubs once every 3 weeks, I might as well put a camera there and switch out cards when I fill tubs... I have a nice downed tree top that I hid the camera in, really blends in well.......

Anyway, if you guys had to throw a score on this buck, what would you go with? He seems to me, to be quite heavy in the beams anway, and if nothing else, is quite unique..... It's the only pic I have ever got of him, so I hope he sticks around my neck of the woods the next month or so. ;)

Based on that first pic, I would go with 145" too. No more than 150" though.

Maybe 19" - 20" spread.

140" times don't give him the score of 145-150. Nice buck though. Shooter for you? That's what matters IMO. I would hand him a dirt nap

You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

If your time stamp is right, it's going to be tough to hunt him at 5:44 in the morning. You may not see him in the daylight hours, hopefully you do, do you know where he is bedding (multiple bedding)?

I really have no idea where he is bedded. It's the first time I have pictures of him, & ya, pretty tough to hunt him in the dark, butI'm hoping as the rut gets closer, he might show his face during daylight hours.
