I respect your perseverance and your honesty! I have had a similar experience and it just made me that much more determined not to have it happen again.

Re: Got one!
. There's was tons of crap and blood spread out by the hind quarters, they ate from the entrance hole back to the tail and then all the way through to the other side and the loin on the bottom side, they didn't touch most of the actual guts. You are correct the skin was basically peeled off and when I hung her it just drooped down.Hodag Hunter wrote:Congrats on the doe Brad.....looks almost like a bobcat the way the hide is pulled back? Have any more pictures of the "scene"? Hair and other crap all over the place?

Good work sticking with it and getting the job done! Coyotes are just getting to this area, so I'm sure we'll be having more trouble with them shortly.

Re: Got one!
We have really bad yote, wolf, and black bear issues on our property. We have had yotes on our deer less than 30 minutes after shooting them. We've had deer drop in sight of the stand and watched as the yotes move in. On several occasions we have to push them off the downed deer. Here is a video of a doe we shot and had to leave overnight. Less than 12 hours after the shot.
