I won't enter any deer in a record book. I won't pay. the record book really isn't a record book. it just means your joining a club and you shot a deer big enough and in certain manner or code of ethics that the club accepts. I have nothing against it, it's just not my thing.

Thats understandable....one of our oldtimer neigbors told me once, "I dont care if the score of my buck is in some book"

I don't need my bucks score in a book to know I had a successful hunt, especially after all the fiasco with the pope and young and boone and crockets calls lately. I think the score is over rated, I measure a deer by the memories not the inches.

I'm ok with knowing what my buck scores, but I don't need to put it in their book. Too many politics involved in their clubs anymore...

Have entered a few in P&Y but probably won't bother anymore. I wouldn't have a problem with entering a Booner though since they are so rare.

It would have to be a state or county record for me.

Haven't entered any of mine and never will. Like what was said above the memories are the only thing that matter to me.
