Fresh venison loin dinner

Unread postby rut » Wed Sep 26, 2012 1:12 pm

One of the best ways to have venison loin (to me anyways).1 inch thick cut steaks;seasoned with Adobo, fresh garlic salt and pepper and then wrapped in bacon.Cook on the grill until medium rare, remove from heat, let stand for 5 minutes then dig in.

Seasoned and ready for the grill

I do the exact same thing, those look tasty! I alwasy rest my beef and pork before digging in but there is something I love about venison right off the grill and into my belly. 8-)

I have done this, without the Adobo. Very good. Venison should be eaten medium rare, I used to overcook venison and you would be surprised how much better any cut of venison tastes when done medium.

Also the young doe, every part of it is good. Not just the Tender Knits..For the last 3 years I have targeted smaller does and eat every bit of the venison.... :L:

You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.
