My daughter Lydia and I...

Unread postby Schultzy » Sat Sep 22, 2012 1:51 pm

On our 1st of hopefully many, many hunts together. We saw 10 doe's and fawns. Could've shot the one doe. Had her as close at 9 yards broadside looking the other way. When she finally looked at the Ameristep ground blind we were In she damn near came out of her skin and flew out of there. This one tag area crap I live and hunt In really sucks otherwise she would've gotten an arrow. My daughter loved the hunt!! She herself almost came out of her skin when the doe snorted at us when It bolted. Good times!! :handgestures-thumbup:

Very cool.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Yeah parts of Minnesota are great with the one deer limit this year! I have two spots that are either or and one spot that is a 2 deer zone either or but only one buck. It sucks if you don't have many spots to hunt and can't or won't fling an arrow especially with a young one with...it is what it is I guess. Cool experience for her though.

That's awesome Schultzy! She sure looks like a happy camper....some of my fondest and most vivid childhood memories were with my dad and grandpa in the deer woods. Kudos to you for taking her out to experience how truly beautiful and exciting it is.
