North and South Dakota public lands
Now with my wi tag filled I am exploring some other options. Anyone had any experience with the walk in or controlled access areas in either of the dakotas? Or any public land in general out there?

I really like the Black Hills of South Dakota. Quite the variety of landscape from plains to mountains, tons of public land and opportunity for whitetail or mule deer on the same tag.

SD is being hit with EHD right now. Some counties are worse than others. They have stopped selling tags for units that didn't sell out. They also sent me an email that said they would let you get a refund for any deer tag that you already bought....Not looking good right now.
A buck will see you three times, and hear you twice, but he's only gonna smell you once.
