I've tried a bunch of sites and put up their data against the moon guide and stuff never seems to match up, even being off as far as 3-4 hours so I just trust the days Dan posts until I find a nice accurate calendar.

Thats why I just use Murrys guide... Its not like I am tied to Murry in any way, its just that other guides seem to try and tie full moon or new moon crap into it too, then it becomes inaccurate.
The only issue is that you have to pay $10 for the murry guide, but it is nice to have in your glove box.

I stumbled upon this website that goes along with the approx 12 1/2 hour rule for overhead or underfoot......... but I really don't know what is correct now. I pretty much only hunt according to the overhead times anyway if I am going strictly by moon charts.....

Moon cycle is 25 hours, so overhead and underfoot times should be about 12.5 hours apart. Some charts go soley on those over head and under foot times as the times to be hunting. Others take into account Appogee (when the moon is furthest from the earth) and Perigree (when the moon is closest to the earth) as well as other factors. that is way some days will be rated higher than others on different moon charts.

Like you said BJE80 the format of the chart is awesome . I hate having to go here for this data , check here for this other data. It's a real pain. Some sites will have it all , BUT only for one day . So planning ahead can be a pain. Someone really needs to develope a dependable one stop shop.

dreaming bucks wrote:What I don't understand though is.......... On your chart it says most of those days that the moon underfoot is only a few hours different than the moon overhead ( transit ). I thought I read somewhere on here before that the moon underfoot is usually always right around 12 1/2 hours later, which would make sense for the most part because it's half a day...... but now after reading your chart it has me wondering...... hmmmm can anyone chime in about the whole underfoot / overhead thing ? Seems like Black squirrel knew his stuff about this topic....

You are correct, and there seems to be something wrong with those times. I agree with you to BJE80, I would like a one sheet table and they are hard to find. Prime times has a chart, but it is only for the current month, other wise you have to pay to get the info. http://primetimes2.com/pages/4-astrotables.html I have a program called Weather and Wildlife that I purchased several years. They ask you for a renewal each year, but once you buy it, the moon times are good with out renewal. You can go back in history or into the future.

Just found this that shows the info in the same great format but it appears to be correct for the under foot moon times. This might be what we are all looking for.

Thats a good one, you have to subscribe to get any months but the current one. I think it's about $15 a year.

Yeah for that kind of money I would just buy the Murray Calendar. But I intend to just print it out the 1st of every month. Seems to be good. .

Man just when I was getting excited about that site. Too bad, oh well the $10 for the Moon guide isn't too bad.
