This 6th sense stuff is all fine and good but it almost sounds like a bad excuse as to why you got busted and a little off the wall compared to scent drift. I'm not going to say it doesn't exist but my scent from an earlier wind shift is far far more likely and much easier to explain and understand then some buck pulling out his ki or chi card on me.
