archery aiming question

I use a modified kisser button and a peep. My kisser button is a d-loop knot. The knot is easier on the corner of the mouth and still big enough to get a good anchor. I set my peep when I get anchored I am looking through it. How I set them is, I draw back and get anchored with my eyes closed, I open them and set my peep so I am looking dead center through it. It takes a while, but it is worth it. I shot a doe last season at low light, and had no problem seeing through it.
