Urine is urine. I pee in scrapes and big bucks come check it out, I have trail camera proof of that. I pee out of the tree if need be. #2 gets done away from the tree.

I believe a meat eaters pee smells different... But I have never seen a deer react negativity to human pee, I think if a deer can smell your pee from down wind, he likely smells you too, and for sure, the human scent is far worse on your ground scent going in...
As for me, I hold it in until I see an unsuspecting squirrel...

i pee from stand all the time, not gonna hold it and be miserable, have yet to see any negative effects. when i sit all day id be filling more than a bottle

I let it fly from the stand. Honestly, I'm more worried about the sound from 18 feet up than I am from the smell.

I read a study somewhere that the chemical make up of human urine is so close to other animals that they can't tell the difference. Maybe if you have a lot fof asparagus you might want to bring a bottle it.

Unless your rubbing the tree while you pee and leaving skin cells or sweat I don't think you have much to worry about.

I have read being a meat eater and medications can alter the scent of human pee a lot!

I hate the sound more than anything. I knew a guy that had to pee all the time seems like....he said he would make a small scrape on the ground and that was his target to keep the noise down and the fresh eart would mask the human scent of his urine some??? I dont know I always thought he put way too much thought into some things

The best trick I ever did was I was hunting a private property with cows that were allowed to roam whereever they wanted, including the woods. I had to go pretty bad one day but was worried about the scent, (before I found the beast) and there were a herd of cows coming. it took awhile but one cow came just off to the side of the tree and I let it rain on the cow, it stood there and took it and then walked off, got rid of the scent and the sound and the cow all in one shot, no pun intended!

This isn't pretty but a good tip to quet down the pee. If you let it fly its going to be loud, however if you can pee down the trunk of a nearby tree it will quiet it down a lot and the pee will run down the trunk. You could do it to the tree you are in but that might get a little messy when you have to pack up for the night.
