Opening WI State parks to hunting

Unread postby PredatorTC » Thu Aug 02, 2012 3:47 pm

I heard today that walker signed something that will allow hunters in 2013 to hunt in state parks. Has anyone else heard this?

 I don't know how big or how many parks there are, but I can see lots of good bucks going down if that happens.
You cannot invade mainland America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

I have been hunting state parks for a long time now, I didn't know you couldn't hunt them all? I know some are muzzleloader only etc.

I hope it's true. There is too much state owned land that is not open to hunting. As a taxpayer we should have that right to hunt there especially after the main tourism season.

i to thought most parks at some point during the season where open to hunting. alot are bow only or muzzleloader and only certain areas within the park are open to hunting.

Wow thats odd, almost every state park in PA is open to hunting. In fact, I hunt one right down the street from me.

I too have hunted some state parks for several seasons. I buy a 3 dollar permit and it's only smoke poles during the 9 day modern fire arm season in this particular park.
If we aren't supposed to eat animals why are they made of meat?

"And God was with the boy as he grew up. He lived in the wilderness and became an expert with the bow."

Funny you say this, Just last night I was helping a farmer on a place I got permission and he was telling me they take their horses over there and camp. He said he sees huge bucks and they do not seem to be spooky all. At least when they are on their horses.

I hope its not wide open hunting rules,Wildcat was years ago and was a zoo with hunting pressure and small game hunters
etc.Been there done that and I prefer bow only hunting and restrictions on amount gun and small game hunting allowed,I ve seen first hand what
DOES happen to certain parks with unlimited hunting.Theres "To many sardines in the Can" today.Be careful what you wish for.
