When can we expect to see these moon days posted, Dan? No rush but it would help with vacation planning...

2012 is for sale if you want to pick one up.

I have done pretty well just looking up the moon info on other free websites but I might buy a guide this year just so I have somethign to cross reference my other data to.

The rut one is really accurate as well. It called for a trailing rut last year and in Kansas I didn't get my shot until the day after Thanksgiving. It's a nice reference.

I ordered the moon guide but I also have 2 free smartphone apps that give the same info basically. It goes off your gps so it's down to the minute for your location. You can also check any day of the year for major or minor movement times.

whoops, wrong thread for original comment

I dont think other guides quite compare. They give you major and minor times. Reread what dan said, take the time it suggests they will feed in the morning within an hour of light and hunt that morning.

Im currently reading Bill Vales book and he is a big moon fan. So Im looking and he wants $15 for his, Jeff Murrays is $10. Are they both predicting the same thing? Is this the same info I can get off my gps now which predicts if its a good day and the peak times?

The key is " Moon overhead, & Moon underfoot"
For example...... if the moon is overhead @ 7:10pm, & your sunset is fairly close to that ( usually within a hour ), there is a good chance deer will be on their feet a little early that day...

So when you read the charts, the best nights or mornings to hunt, are the days where sunrise or sunsets match up with moon overhead or underfoot times.
