Good luck.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Good luck... I chose not to take my Iowa permit this year because of money issues. Hopefully next year.

Wow am I reading the license cost right?
$112 for hunting license
$426 for deer permit
$13 for habitat stamp
$551  . Good luck to ya, sounds like some great hunting.

No doubt it is expensive...........but the pressure (compared to where I hunt in Wisconsin) is way lower in Iowa. It is also now $50 dollars to apply for a preference point  .

You forgot the "convenience fee" for being able to apply online. lol I think brings the tag price up to more than $560
You cannot invade mainland America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

The price is definitely crazy. I have waited a long time to hunt there mostly because I kept getting annoyed by the price. I can buy a WI non resident tag for like $160.

We should get together for a beer next year, I will be hunting out of Waukon, Ia.

Are you going to have time to do some scouting? There is a good amount of public land in the area.
