Re: Booner?
Id be fired up if I saw one like that in my area, even if he was done growing. Super buck, sweet dreams till you kill him.

I like to make as accurate guess as possible. I just can't tell from those pics. He is nice that is for sure.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Re: Booner?
I'll be the stick in the mud, he's not a booner yet.
He is still a very large buck, one that I'd shoot based simply on a long ways off grainy velvet photo from early July.
Get a trail cam out there if you can. I'll also say that by the time the end of August rolls around he could easily be 15 inches bigger.

Re: Booner?
Velvet is VERY deceiving. Could be 180's when done might be high 150's though. Picture says he is definitely big, just not clear enough to make any guesses.

Re: Booner?
Puffy velvet or not that is a huge frame + way rounded = lots of growth to come
That big by July 1 equals BIG in my experience

Re: Booner?
Here's one once out of Velvet with a similar picture quality. Granted this is Sept when I was hunting him, but if it makes you feel any better he went over 200" .

Re: Booner?
I highly doubt I'll have an encounter with this buck, but it's fun to imagine what he could be. I'll try and get closer and see if I can get a clear video for you guys. I had the digital zoom out all of the way, which is why the picture sucks.

I don't think he is a booner yet, but I definitely think he will be 170+. Good luck!!!

Big buck for sure. But I don't think he will make B&C.
