True. Last week I was at my grandmas and watched the neighbor meticulously sweep his garage over and over for like an hour. Then he went to his yard where he hand picked up every tiny leaf and stick that had blown into his yard. His lawn looked like a fairway at a country club. Shrubs were trimmed perfectly. I said "if I ever get that way about my lawn, punch me". My grandma replied... "what's the difference between him and his lawn and you and your deer?".

Every man has his thing I guess. Some more severe than others.

Gotta love grandma's. I like it, to each his own.

Not normal. Far, far from ordinary. I will leave it at that. It's almost 100 outside, but yet I'm getting ready to go sit in the tick and chigger infested weeds and bushes on top of a hill to go watch deer walk out into fields. And, I will somehow enjoy it.

Electroshock therapy may help fix that...

I have to agree SB....been accused of many things over the years.

But being "normal" was never one of the accusations.

I have a somewhat obsessive/addictive personality.

When I get into something, I dont want to just do it, I want to be the best at it.

Throughout my life it has been different things. Working out turned into competitive bodybuilding and now bowhutning has turned into an equal obsession of killing bucks.
If it bleeds, we can kill it . . . .

could be worse and could be mroe damaging....though it needs to be kept under control

Great post! Although the grass is long now and the corn fields are hip high (iowa) I still find myself looking for road sheds. I have a 2 hour total commute for work and I spend most of my drive looking for sheds and deer activity. can't wait to be driving during later summer and the rut... should see a lot of action!

Who defines normal anyways?

I don't care much about what others think... I love the solitude and competing with one of natures ultimate survival machines

I have a friend who has the perfect saying "if you don't own a grunt tube? We got nothing to talk about". It so true it's scary, Most of my wife's friends husbands are all city boys. I would rather get water boarded then hang out with them. I know I ain't right but that's what makes me tick.

We're not normal, we're exceptional.
