I saw a fawn the size of a Boston terrier today in southern WI with it's mom crossing a freshly planted field. This was about 1/2 mile south of Lake Geneva (Linn boat launch). I assume the fawn had to be at least a week old walking across an open field like that at 8:00 AM. First one that I have seen this year so far.

Finally saw a little bambi. I found a strutting tom on my way home today, I was down to detroit and back by 11:30AM so I decided to loop one of my hunting spots . Came home and the wife was there, asked her if she wanted to try to sneak in and shoot the big tom I missed on the opener. She obliged, the tom didnt though.

But got to watch the little one through the binocs for a while. Pretty cool. As I started the thread I saw some tiny tracks on that day in the same place. I think this was a different one, it looked days not a couple weeks, but what do I know

I pulled trail cam memory cards last weekend and this was on one:

I spoke with the neighbor this week, he said while mowing his hayfield, he found 3 and dropped them over the fence onto my property.
