Goodluck charms ?

Unread postby dreaming bucks » Thu May 03, 2012 2:06 pm

Anyone have to go to the tree with a favorite good luck charm ? I like to wear the same tee shirt, until I don't see much, then I give up on that idea... lol

No good luck charms but I have to crank bang your head by quiet riot to mentally prepare for hunt. Starting doing it before ducks hunts and just kept it rolling with bow hunts - weird I know

My daughter made me a "bow bracelet", braided thick yarn in black green and brown. I put that on my bow around the riser till last year when I took it off. And last season was the worst I have ever had! I gotta get that back on there!

An old worn out turtle neck sweater from the 80's. I wear it a couple times every season in memory of a fellow hunter that gave it to me!

I have a bead necklace that my girls made me tied onto my bow riser. Every year I commit to one hat, usually takes a few trips before one "feels right" and is that years hunting cap.

Nothing for me. Not into superstitious magical powers.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

I don't really believe in lucky charms ( except maybe the kind you pour milk onto and eat ) But I do have a certain flannel shirt that I was wearing when I killed a lot of my bucks, and it has not been washed in years. Its falling apart now, but I still like to wear it...
