Thanks Stanley, that was fun. I have to agree though. The angle must be really off for those to be accurate 4" brows or a 12" g3' to the TOP of the beam. I was definitely fooled. You're right, pics can be really deceiving.

Im not sure if the score sheet was done by an official or not, but I do know from taking pictures of big bucks that how you take the picture can make a buck look small, or look big, and the difference in appearance can be staggering. There is a huge difference between a one dimensional photo and actually seeing a rack or the deer... Trail camera pictures can also be really deceiving. Its nice to get a bunch of pictures or video.

Agree. I wouldn't doubt one bit that those measurements are spot on. Pictures usually never due justice or sometimes do too much. Seen it many of times. This is probably the reason why Stan posted the picture to begin with.

The buck took first place at the Ill. deer classic archery 9 pointers. If you'll check the name on the score sheet and the name for first place on the web site provided you'll see the information is accurate. The guy that arrowed the buck is 6'6" and has big hands. There was no one that guessed the buck was that good, that was part of the idea/fun of the thread.

You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

My personal guess was 150 and I'd have bet the farm he wouldn't hit 155. Those 28 inch beams are humongous.

The length on those main beams and G2's is amazing and I was figuring 21" and 10" on them. The mass is much more than it looked. He must have very large hands.
Thanks Stanley you really fooled me with that buck. I never ever would have guessed that high on that buck. Sure was a good learning experience!!
