QUALITY IN MANHATTAN KS AREA
I have a line on a property in the general manhattan KS area. Was wondering if anyone has hunted in the general area, or knows much about the quality of deer hunting there. I know Dor kills some monsters pretty consistantly in KS somewhere, any input would be appreciated.

How big of property? It is one of the better areas in Kansas.... If you don't mind sharing $/acre?

Havent came up with price/acre yet. two chunks both over 500 acres. Looks good on paper, its a long way to travel to scout and make a decision on! Have you hunted in the general area? I have a friend that has a friend who lives in western IA, he leases ground in that area and pays around $10/acre depending on size.

Thats correct.
I dont know what info to give.....
I never hunt out that way.
I would think if the ground is good there will be a few good bucks on it or using it.
The trouble with leasing and being out of state is that other folks could be tresspassing, especially if it is rural.

I have a buddy that outfits north of Salina.....I could call him and check on lease prices in that area if you like.
Thats about an hour west of Manhattan.
