Swap Hunts
Anybody on here ever swap a hunt? Or have the desire to do so?
A buck will see you three times, and hear you twice, but he's only gonna smell you once.

Like you come to my house or hunting camp, and I show you the land I hunt. We hunt together and hopefully see some new sights.
Then I come to your place and stomp around and hunt the next year or something....
Not sure exactly how it would work, just asking about it..

Re: Swap Hunts
I would be interested. Don't know what I could offer besides big woods public land?

Re: Swap Hunts
I have thought about it but the only problem is my spots that are on public land have not proven to be 100% reliable, when I get to the point that I can regularly have a chance on decent bucks, then I might be willing to do something like this, but I want to make sure that whoever came to hunt here got a fair hunt out of the deal. But, to answer the original question, I have given it thought before.

Re: Swap Hunts
For instance, I have really good turkey hunting in NY. With a month long season and two bird limit. You don't have that in Wisconsin.
And I'm sure that everyone has some type of cool hunting or fishing at their place.
It's a cheap way to do a different state or different hunt, and meet like minded hunters.....

Re: Swap Hunts
I got some awesome private spots but it would have to be the right hunter.

Who wouldn't, for crying out loud?
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.
