Picked up a new urban zone around my city, was happy because I lost my other one 2 years prior to a bike path project. This was my second day out at the new spot

Not bad at all.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Nice buck... I would of waited a longer before tracking a liver hit deer, and would of stressed that importance to your viewers. Nice buck anyway though, Congrats. and if you want me to add it to our line up of successful members, post a picture of it.

I'll be honest, it was about 1 hour after the shot when I started tracking, all I was doing was going slow and finding blood. I agree, I usually wait 2 hours for a solid liver shot. But this blood was more then liver, it was artery blood and lots of it. I actually was going to stop looking where the buck went down that impression and thats when I saw him.
The shot really sucked, I hit my camera arm and if you listen closely you hear a thwack then a smack and I am postive I hit these small reed looking weeds about 3 feet tall that are the same color as the deer.
Looking back I should not have taken that shot, it appeared open but i rushed the shot, was drawn too long and just was a bad idea. Got too aggressive and was forunate enough to find the buck.
