my 2011 buck
i hunt in baltimore county maryland on private property and i didnt really get a chance to hunt during bow season due to work but i did go out in black powder and i got three deer with black powder. a couple weeks go by and didnt get to go out hardly at all. and so the day before thanks giving we found out that we would no longer be able to hunt a farm my dad hunted for 22 years after the fist day of gun season. so we were all mad and upset when saturday came we were determined to come home with some deer.
i was sitting in the morning and didnt see anything. the afternoon comes and i was sitting on the edge of a field along a hedro close to the corner of the field i was sitting there and i looked up on the hill and i saw this buck at the top making a scrape. and the i thought he left and a couple minutes went by and three does came out behind me and i shot this one. and i geuse the buck thought i was on the other side of the hedro and he came around and came into the the corner of the field at like 30 yards and stopped so i shot and he dropped. so me and my bro go get the doe and drag it and the buck out in the field and field dressed them and drug them a little bit closer to the truck.
and then walk back to the truck and wait for my dad and our friend and it was dark by now and our friend drove the truck over to pick them up and he didnt turn the lights on. and he ran the horns over i was so upset my bro was digging the out of the mud our friend stood there in disbelief he kept saying im sorry. we got the out of the mud and the left side was broken inside the skull but my dad said the taxidermy can fix it. so i had a unusual day that day between the four of us we shot six deer. i know this aint a huge buck but for the last day on the farm ill take him his left g2 was broken off when i shot i do have a qeustion would you get the g2 fixed or leave like it is my dad seems to think i should get it fixed but i cant decide what to do.
so i just thought i would share that with ya

Congrats kid. If your dad is paying for the mount and fix job then go for it! Problem is cheap fix jobs on antlers look like crap.

Nice buck, congrats. I would probably have it fixed, had the buck busted it off fighting or soemthing I would chalk it up to good ol "character".

my dad isnt paying for it thats why i havent taken it yet still trying to get that 200 dollar down payment. and this guy aint to cheap he is the most expansive guy around here but he does the best work he charge lik 450 or 500 for a shoulder mount he fixed the main beam on one of my dads 8pts and you cant even tell it was missing and it was only like 5 bucks

Good job on the nice buck. Welcome to the Beast
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.
