Just curious...How is hunting Florida as far as bugs and snakes are concerned.
I was going to do a hog hunt in Florida a couple of years ago but opted to go to Oklahoma instead...
There are tons of poisonous snakes and spiders in Florida, at least that's what it says online..kinda freaked me out.
How do you protect yourself from them, or is it really not that big of a deal?[/quote]
Lots of skeeters and snakes here in Florida. I do not know how we hunted before thermacells, which to me are the greatest creation in hunting equipment. I am used to snakes so they do not bother me at all. A lot of guys where chaps and snakeboots, but I do not. We have scorpions, snakes, all kind of nasty spiders, and of course my favorite the gator. If you do not get along with the creepy crawlies you would not get to hunt in Florida....lol

. I think it would be way cooler to have a competition between different hunting sites. Beast vs AT ect. I prefer to keep the competition between me and the deer.

If I was to go on a hunt with someone It wouldn't have anything to do with how good of a big buck hunter they are but rather their personality as a hunter and how I think we would mesh. Good hunting buddy's are very tough to come by. I'm not going to mention names on the folks I'd go and hunt with, I'm sure a few of you know who you are.

Re: What Beast Would You Like To Share A Camp With?
Great thread and great topic. I would love to share a gutpile and/or pursue animals with most on this site. I have had the great pleasure already to do that with some here. Pigfest was a good start, but have pursued an animal or two with a few others.
I love to hunt many different ways in many different places, here's to hoping we cross paths someday. I always try to have a sharp knife, but I use it a lot
